Local secret
A black-sand beach under green cliffs on the north coast, with far fewer people than you expect.
Most of Madeira's coast is pebble or cliff. Seixal has a small beach of soft black volcanic sand, with waterfalls coming down the green walls behind it and natural rock pools a short walk away.
A tipCombine it with Porto Moniz, twenty minutes further along the same road.
